Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

  • Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

Decent service, but could be better.

What do you like best? I like that it is easy to use and customer service gets back in a day. What do you dislike? I don't like that it is clunky to use and kind of weird to manage things. Hard to figure out on own without expertise. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I keep organized and it helps me keep everything orderly in my business. Very important.

Basecamp - great tool for teams

What do you like best? We used to work on Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence + Slack as a communication tool. Now we're running on Basecamp and it was the good move - running projects it's easier than it used to be in Jira. What do you dislike? When it comes to chatting it's not so effective as Slack used to be. The biggest con is a lack of users list :( You can select only last 8 pings you did. And if you want to ping other people you need to write their name to select them. ...

Good Experience with Basecamp

I don't love how the email notifications come in with people's responses. I always have to download pictures first to see the comments. Recommendations to others considering the product Great way to collaborate on shared projects. Secure and very easy to use! What business problems are ...

BaseCamp Review

What do you like best? That every team member can linked in and all conversations/communications are recorded, which minimizes miscommunication and staff saying they didn't know What do you dislike? I do not think the platform is that user friendly, it is a rather bulky platform. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use it for our SEO team and website design to keep all communication straight, because there are so many people ...

Best Tool in My Toolbox

What do you like best? Basecamp keeps my team and my projects on track. The best thing about it is it keeps a history of those long projects that never seem to end. Team members can pick up where other team members have left off, and often having access to that history saves a ton of time with not having to explain everything, training, etc. Newcomers can jump right into the projects. What do you dislike? It's hard to think of anything I don't like - Gosh, we've been using it for well ...
