Basecamp pros and cons
Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.
Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.
Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.
Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

Easy to use Project Management Tool
What do you like best? Easy to learn and use, increases efficient communication between team members, best to use when managing large or small projects. What do you dislike? It took me a little while to get the hang of notifications -- who is notified when, how you tag them in posts, etc. Recommendations to others considering the product Plan out your structure of inputting tasks, projects, etc. MUCH easier to have a road map for your layout before you start adding in tasks. Can ...

Thank God for Basecamp
What do you like best? I love that it houses all of my tasks so that I can see clearly what I need to do each day. What do you dislike? This may be simply the way my company has formatted our Basecamp usage- but every project is listed to a client. Some projects encompass several clients though, and there's no way to put a task under more than one project. Also, there is no way to assign tasks to yourself that are outside the overall projects (I suppose I could solve this by creating ...

Basecamp is pointless.
What do you like best? The thread and search features are useful in finding conversation. What do you dislike? Everything else about the platform. It essentially does nothing that simple email and file sharing cannot do. Recommendations to others considering the product Don't. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our team interfaces with our outside web developers to manage projects. The benefit is that all conversations are ...

My experience with Basecamp
What do you like best? ability to organize pieces of projects into different subcategories What do you dislike? the lack of subcategories for organizational purposes; attachments all grouped together making it hard to locate the one you're looking for Recommendations to others considering the product Understand what your needs are. If they are basic, this could be a great tool. If you need more tools to prioritize and organize this probably isn't the right one for you. What ...

Good for Task Management, but Could Improve
What do you like best? The ability to tag team members for tasks and then they receive due date emails and reminders. What do you dislike? There is no feature to repeat or copy/paste recurring tasks (you have to make them from scratch each time. For projects with many tasks and owners, this is time consuming to remake them monthly. Recommendations to others considering the product If you have a lot of intricate, multi-task projects that are repeated every month, this might not be ...

What do you like best? Easy to create checklists for tasks, you can follow thread of conversation and include attachments in the file What do you dislike? Can't assign multiple people to a task, doesn't allow you to filter unassigned tasks. Can't tag people and have that person get specific notifications What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Website Development - create for grouping tasks by page or feature

Awesome Project Management & Team Collaboration App
What do you like best? The application is user-friendly; most users should be able to quickly utilize the app's features without any formal training. Basecamp enables teams to easily communicate, both internally and externally. Users can easily post snapshots and comment on them. The e-mail notifications are very helpful and take you straight to the related post. What do you dislike? I would like to be able to copy and paste a picture straight into a comment (without having to upload ...
