Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

  • Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

Simple project management solution for teams and small companies.

What do you like best? Easy end to end project solution for teams to collaborate, store documents and manage tasks. What do you dislike? Does not have robust features that would allow management of multiple projects at the same time and the review of an overall portfolio. Recommendations to others considering the product Be honest with yourself regarding what level of project management and execution do you need. Best Project Management Tool

What do you like best? I have tried several other PM platforms, and always prefer Basecamp. The way everything is laid out and flows just makes so much sense! Information is easily found and the lines of communication are wide open. Very easy to track projects. What do you dislike? I suppose if I had to write about something I don't like, it would be the pricing. That is the only reason we've ever strayed from the product (only to return. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Basecamp is outdated

What do you like best? What I like best about Basecamp is that you can have all of your clients in one platform making it easy to access account information. What do you dislike? What I dislike about Basecamp is how it's not very easy to find things. Under the message board, conversations can get long and seem lost if they get too long. No easy search area. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We keep client passwords, tasks and ...

Basecamp: Easy-To-Use Project Platform

What do you like best? Basecamp is very easy to use and very logical. Your homepage is broken down into projects, then those projects into separate "areas" where files, messages, notes, to-dos, and chitchat about that project are stored. This breakdown means, for the most part, that the Basecamp project can be your primary go-to source when you need a thorough rundown and history of a project. Basecamp has an amazing search feature. You know that moment when you just *know* you got an ...

Decent software for the price

What do you like best? Overall, it was not too intimidating of a software package and everybody on the team felt comfortable using it. We were overall on the same page when it came to assignments, tasks, and next steps. What do you dislike? The learning curve of the UI was a little steep and there were some non-obvious workflows. Recommendations to others considering the product It's not hyper robust but it's definitely good enough, especially if you're involving clients or third ...

Supports other apps and services

What do you like best? The message board and check-in features. It's the best way to post announcements and check in with other people working on the projects. What do you dislike? Reporting options are not at its best and could be better. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Sometimes the PDF files don't open properly
