Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

  • Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

Benefits of Basecamp

What do you like best? Basecamp allows for great connectivity between partners/organizations. It is a online conference. I can speak to and provide materials for all stakeholders, but also create breakout groups. It is specific and efficient. It is also personal with its direct messenger feature. My favorite feature, however, is the timeline feature. It is a great way to see information, messages, and documents, over the span of the project. It is a great visual tool for all stakeholders. ...

Awesome Software, Bad Pricing

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Basecamp delivers great service and awesome customer support. They roll out a consistent string of updates and the user interface is very smart. In fact, it is so intuitive enough that even my most technology apprehensive clients hare having a blast using the system. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Rather keeping a single development trunk, Basecamp has a number of issues in relation to releasing major updates ...

Perfect project-managing and client collaboration platform.

Recommendations to others considering the product This is a great platform for companies who have many large projects with many moving parts going on in terms of clients, employees etc. Basecamp lets you plan out every moving step in the plan and lets each employee know their part, track it ...

BaseCamp

What do you like best? It had an easy check list feature that was great for creating to do lists. Also you could assign items to others to help keep everyone on the same page What do you dislike? It sends you lots of emails that are hard to unsubscribe from. Also to use several of the features you had to get the paid version. I have found many other apps that do similar things that are free. Recommendations to others considering the product It is a great tool if you have multiple ...

Best Collaboration Tool on the Market

What do you like best? I have been using Basecamp for about two years now through a national organization in which I serve. It allows many of us who work all over the country to communicate on projects and share files. The program is easy to navigate. I have used it both on iOS and the web. You can easily add collaborators to the Basecamp projects and you can reply to project threads in the app or just reply to an email. If you get too many emails it is easy to change how many and when ...

Great collaboration tool for teams!

What do you like best? Basecamp has made it easy for us to collaborate with an out-of-state consultant. We've been able to coordinate meetings, share documents and links, etc. all within a contained space. That has made it easy to keep track of conversations and decisions without having to search through multiple email threads. What do you dislike? I've not yet found anything specific that I dislike. In general, I'd say the dislike would be simply that it became yet another platform to ...

Great tool for web development

What do you like best? Basecamp worked really well to collaborate on projects with teams in different locations. It was a great place to go and see what was happening on the project at any given moment. What do you dislike? There wasn't anything that I disliked that I can remember. Recommendations to others considering the product I would make sure that everyone gets on board with using the tool and that all conversations are kept within it. Things started to fall apart when people ...
