Automatic backups run continuously in the background, and files are encrypted with a private key you control. File ...Read more

Wilfully excludes certain files without letting you know

Backblaze literally says on their website "Online backup of all your data" they should really change that to "online backup of some of your data and some which we choose not to backup because we don't want to backup everything" Not quite as catchy but more accurate for sure. My issue is they do not backup .lrdata files which are previews built by lightroom - a photo editing program - which take up 8 times less bandwidth than the camera RAW files. I had no idea that these weren't being ...

You don't have to think about it, it just works

What do you like best? It just runs in the background, doesn't hog your bandwidth and it's very reliable. What do you dislike? Cost could be a little lower otherwise it's a great product/service. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Backup of critical files/folders.

Slow painful process of…Data Recovery?

As I was in the slow painful process of recovering my files from a failed drive you have about 30 days to recover it all before the system deletes it all, now with a slow connection this was impossible and I talked to them about extensions of time and they say just remove the drive from your back up and it will stay there for another 3 months which would have been plenty of time.logged in only to be absolutely mortified that the T drive is missing from online service. With my slow ...

Great cloud storage solution

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? BackBlaze is great product for backing up to a cloud that I currently use to back up image files and SQL Databasles from servers. It has easy interface and it allows me to sync via NAS Synology Rackstation where my local backups reside. It’s great when is set as a task to a backup directly to this cloud. What aspects are problematic or could work better? When I have large size folder the speed is slow, and what concerns me is the ...

Great Upload speed, amazing software

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? BackBlaze runs in the background, and I can control it when I want it to run or to delay it for couple of hours. I can easily and quickly download a file. My friend and I tested the hard drive recovery and the results were amazing. We were able to get refund for the device. What aspects are problematic or could work better? If the drive is disconnected for 60 days without even tricking the system that is attached by shutting down. ...

Backblaze is a life saver!!

What do you like best? First off, back blaze is a life saver. I love that it has unlimited storage. I also find it amazing that the backed up files are incredibly easy to access. It's nice that it notifies you if a drive has not been backed up in X amount of days. What do you dislike? While I absolutely love Backblaze, I find it highly annoying that it takes forever to back the files up. It is soooo slow!! I know it runs on internet connection but I have a good one and it still takes a ...

Great solution for back up files

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? BackBlaze is easy to use and affordable product, I have used other backup software solutions but this one is second to none. The price you pay is $5/month, and it allows you to backup unlimited amounts of information and data from your device. It’s simple to install, log in to the account you have made and then the software does everything for you. It’s automated and in the background. The restore panel sorts the files in a tree so ...
