Yuck!

Yuck!Just like everyone else's submission.It is great until you need to access your information.I couldn't download the file they sent with my backup information. They sent me a "downloader" to expedite and assist. That never worked. Each time you email, it is from a different person and that person never reads the string, nor do they read the entire email or look at the screenshots you sent. What a waste of money.Oh, did they mention they never give refunds?They're too greedy for that.

This is not a fully fuinctioning cloud…

This is not a fully fuinctioning cloud backup service as suggested. Restore options are limited and it is only possible to restore from days they offer... i.e. hours, days up to a week and then exact weeks... so you can;;t for example restore a file from 11 days ago!!! This is nuts and means it is only useful as a full backup restore option not selective. As full restore it is VERY slow over the internet whatever your connection!

Backblaze or Blackdaze? Very good - until you need it!

Until you need to restore files, everything seems fine - which could be why magazine reviews are generally positive. Works great, easy to setup and cheap

What do you like best? Backblaze is a great automatic cloud backup storage tool that allows me to rest easy in knowing that all my files are backed up and can be easily retrieved should my hard drive crash or I delete a file that I discover I need again. I love that I can attach an external hard drive to the computer and that will also be backed up regularly. Needs a few critical tweaks

What do you like best? Reliable low maintainence backup

Considering all the negative reviews I thought I would share my positive experience. I have found the service to be very reliable and easy to configure. You do need to spend a little time setting it up to backup the drives you want and to create exclusions you want. Once setup it has worked flawlessly. Great price and native, low overhead apps

What do you like best? Native app is lightweight and very performance on OSX, unlimited backup size, and backup happens seamlessly. What do you dislike? No Linux client, but I could see why they would not have one this this would attract the "wrong crowd" so to speak. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? All of my work is backed up and versioned without me ever having to think about it. Protecting valuable IP is easy.

Fine unless you have a problem. My files were "safety frozen" by Backblaze, so it did not back up my files. I tried to unfreeze and could not, so I called technical support. After about 45 minutes on phone with them they insisted the problem was that I had no Internet protection. I said that was not correct and I could see Bitdefender was active on my MAC.
