Great collaboration

What do you like best? once it was set up it was easy to use and understand What do you dislike? the set up was a little difficult we had trouble getting all the members of our team access Recommendations to others considering the product: This is a great product and it is easy to use. however I recommend having a consultant who knows how to set it up to avoid any early concerns. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? we are ...

Young Professional Designer

What do you like best? We thoroughly enjoy being able to work share models between ourselves and partner firms across different regions, and having an overview project hub for all team members. Not just the building model but also other important files. What do you dislike? We dislike relying on the server and having regular technical errors. Sometimes linking in different disciplines to one model is super slow. Recommendations to others considering the product: Give yourself ...

Almost game-changing but not quite there yet.

What do you like best? It makes it really easy to collaborate across offices. Fast. Better than Revit Server. What do you dislike? Convoluted web interface, that is not very intuitive. It can be a little flaky getting projects set up and new users added. Confusing workflows without a lot of documentation. Recommendations to others considering the product: There really is not another option What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Almost ready for field use

What do you like best? Ability to add notes and markups on pictures. Printing options are good. What do you dislike? The android app does not work. That sucks. The pictures added cannot be cropped to better focus on a particular item. The search options for the Issues tab doesn't have all logical options like showing all items without having to choose a filter type first. The interface on the iPad is not the same as the one in the computer. It could be improved. What ...

Project management tools

What do you like best? BIM360 has a seamless drawings coordination platform. It is excellent to ensure that all files are current and easy to find. The submittals and RFIs programs are simple and efficient. We have been using this for Punch List for over 10 years when under it's original brand Vela Systems. This feature is the backbone of the plan tagging features for RFIs and issues. What do you dislike? There is no way to reopen RFIs if they need to be modified. There also is ...

BIM360 Document Management

What do you like best? My favorite thing about BIM360 is that BIM360 can be used from design through construction. It has many capabilities, particularly for those that use BIM360 Design and are using Revit in their projects. What do you dislike? I would like the issues function to be further developed in document management. For example, I would like to be able to further customize what users are available to tag (i.e. I want all issues to be routed to one person as opposed to having ...

BIM 360 - Is It A Complete Circle?

What do you like best? BIM 360 allows our users to connect to the project from anywhere they have internet access. They can work in the field or from home as long as they have a license of the required software to work from. This makes for an extremely mobile and agile workforce. What do you dislike? Some of the administration controls are clunky. It's difficult and time consuming to add people to a project if you don't know how to circumvent the current interface. I don't like being ...

Structural Engineer

What do you like best? Being able to easily view models online without having to open revit. Quicker coordination with other project partners. What do you dislike? Not being able to short cut links or "pin" folders when opening models in revit. An elevation tagger would be useful in the online version. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Benefits: Quicker coordination Problems: Not being able to short cut links or "pin" folders ...
