What is Atlan?

Atlan unifies metadata from more than 80 systems — Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Tableau, Looker and others — into a single enterprise data graph covering discovery, lineage, governance and quality. Context agents auto-generate descriptions, metrics and business ontology, and a context engineering studio lets teams bootstrap, test and deploy that context. The same graph is exposed to AI agents through an MCP server, SQL and APIs, which is the direction the product has taken. Atlan is headquartered in Singapore and is a Gartner Leader in both Metadata Management and Data & Analytics Governance.
