Asana pros and cons
Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.
Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.
Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.
Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.
Steep learning curve for new users due to the richness of features and complex implementation for larger organizations.
Advanced features (e.g., custom fields, timeline views, and detailed reporting) are locked behind premium pricing, making it expensive for smaller organizations.

Helps small agencies manage massive projects
What do you like best? We're a team of 10 and manage over 40+ clients and projects each month. Asana helps us organize every task, assign roles, develop timelines and track progress. Its template feature allows us to map out reoccurring retainers and processes like onboarding. What do you dislike? It's a great platform, but there's a bit of a learning curve with some employees. We've had to create a training process for it specifically. Once they get the hang of it though, it saves a ...

Another thing to keep track of until you don’t
What do you like best? It has a number of features that, if managed diligently, can make larger projects easier to manage between users. What do you dislike? The program is but another step to manage when going through work. Micromanaging projects can become more tedious and time consuming than verbal communication. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Building projects for IT.

Great but not worth $375/yr
What do you like best? Great user interface both on desktop and mobile What do you dislike? They don't allow you to buy a single license. You have to buy bundles of 5. So for me as an independent developer, it would cost over $30/month for me to use it. Recommendations to others considering the product Look at Click Up unless you are happy with the free version or plan to buy licenses for a while team. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Need a Project Fixed?
What do you like best? Great for communicating to different departments bugs, requests and presenting tasks needed to be completed. What do you dislike? I don’t like all the notification by email send. I wish we would get monthly updates. Also, notified clearly once yours if being looked at and more direct when a case it completed. It’s hard to keep up with task you’ve created in the past and log in when it isn’t our main platform that we use What business problems are you solving ...

Asana for project management
What do you like best? It is good to be able to attach documents and copy and paste information sent by email directly in the tasks. I also like that I can clearly see the comment history and know where things have progressed or the status of the project. What do you dislike? There are some flaws in the functions of the assistance task, but it has improved or we have improved in maintaining a good management of it. I would like there to be a better function of copying and pasting for ...

Use of Asana for PM
What do you like best? Makes it easy to pull the right people in on the right information, including task assignments. Use to use with minimal training. What do you dislike? Only thing I dislike is that recipients don’t always respond to their invitations, deadlines, etc What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Keeping track of a complicated project with many dependencies. It’s a place we can all go back to for a mutual understanding ...

What do you like best? Excellent platform, with which I can manage many projects at once, it allows me to be up to date with the activities, it is very flexible and can be adapted to any work area, it has excellent complements, something that I like very much Asana are its notifications since they let me know when an activity is about to expire. Great for Organization
What do you like best? Asana is great for organizing your daily/weekly tasks that are time sensitive. We use them for requests from our customers and I can easily tag each task for different programs and with different customers. What do you dislike? It could use a better search function, especially when pertaining to contacts. Recommendations to others considering the product Try it out with employees that have to juggle a lot of small tasks that can easily fall by the wayside if ...

Drop your currently workflow app
What do you like best? Let's begin with the incredibly user friendly UI. I loved Trello because of how intuitive it is. Asana is just as intuive, but at an enterprise level. Easy to use task manager
What do you like best? I like how easy it is to use. I can assign tasks within my team by project and importance and check them off when they are done. It’s a quick, efficient way to keep everyone on task. What do you dislike? I haven’t really found anything I dislike yet. There was 1 day Asana was down most of the day and it was very inconvenient. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We used to use Google Drive and it was very ...
