Asana pros and cons

  • Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.

  • Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.

  • Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.

  • Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.

Asana is my favorite!

What do you like best? I love the functionality of Asana. I am able to flawlessly plan and schedule just about anything. What do you dislike? I dislike the fact that there are not a lot of colors available to use when labeling. It could stand to have better customization options. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are looking for a Project Management tool that is robust but easy to use, Asana is it. What problems are you solving with the product? ...

Asana, Easy to Use and a Good Agile Software

What do you like best? It is easy to signup and not a lot of onboarding time. They also provided an entire free certification course that I found useful. The free version covered most of my needs. What do you dislike? I would prefer more ways to motivate those unfamiliar with the app to participate. In some ways its not as robust as JIRA, but then again JIRA isn't for everyone. Another thing I would prevent is the amount of emails triggered. What problems are you solving with ...

Asana Review from an accounting firm

What do you like best? We like that Asana lets us see what tasks need done in an orderly fashion. We can see our monthly clients tasks on a calendar view, which allows us to plan special projects during slower times of the month. It also helps management see what staff is working on and what their workload looks like. Since we are a client based job, sometimes things need to be shifted due to not having information, using the calander view makes it easy to see when we will have open time ...

Creatives get organized!

What do you like best? This software is very easy and intuitive to use. We have a small creative team and it's rare to implement a software that everyone will buy into using and totally be on board. What do you dislike? We have been using it for around 6 months and haven't run into any issues. Recommendations to others considering the product: Think long-term needs and think growth. Also, keep the bottomline expense in mind for what that will look like in 3 to 5 years from ...

Asana has been a game changer for me and my colleagues for over 2+ years!

What do you like best? Asana has not only streamlined our workflows and tasks but also our communication between teams with a whole another level of organized and tracking. Getting away from email is one of the best moves you could do for a team within an office space or remotely as our team is. Tasks with assignees and due dates give accountability to co-workers involved but also visibility to other teams and managers. I even love to use their mobile app for one-off ideas for tasks to ...

Great tool with excelent user expirience

What do you like best? Almost everything - but the best part is that you can use Asana as simple todoist or very powerful tool for large cooperative teams (end every use between). It is very flexible and scalable. What do you dislike? Honestly I don't like calendar view (my task, project etc) end left panel tree could be better. Recommendations to others considering the product: You have find one or few leaders who first will love Asana - and then let them spread it. We ...

Asana is my customizable dream PM software

What do you like best? The best part about Asana is how customizable it is. My agency has very unique internal processes that don't fit into most templates so the fact that we could tailor Asana to that process has been really, really helpful. I also love the Asana brand. I've used and looked at other project management software and I didn't think any of them had a strong visual or messaging brand. Asana makes things that could be quite boring, exciting. I love the new appreciations ...

My Asana experience is generally positive.

What do you like best? I appreciate being able to include tasks in multiple projects and complete them from anywhere they appear. I also enjoy the [email protected] feature to create tasks from email messages. What do you dislike? My Tasks sections Today|Upcoming|Later do not always automatically move tasks between sections as expected. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Task Management is a primary benefit for me. Keeping ...

Very good, but there's still room for improvement

What do you like best? Asana is flexible and has a neat interface – once you get used to it. What do you dislike? The learning curve is a bit steep. For experienced users of project management tool it is probably an easy ride, but for people who are new to this universe it can seem rather intimidating to learn all the functions and the apparently cluttered interface, which only starts to make sense after a few hours of trial and error. Recommendations to others considering the ...
