Asana pros and cons
Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.
Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.
Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.
Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.
Steep learning curve for new users due to the richness of features and complex implementation for larger organizations.
Advanced features (e.g., custom fields, timeline views, and detailed reporting) are locked behind premium pricing, making it expensive for smaller organizations.

A Good Cloud Based Project Management Tool
What do you like best? We've been using Asana for five years now as our project management tool in our division's marketing communications department at a major university. We like the fact that Asana is cloud based and can be accessed from any Internet browser at anytime, day or night. It has allowed us to better manage all of the details associated with the management of marketing projects -- from request through to completion. We also like the fact that we can store and manage ...

Great simple tool for a growing team
What do you like best? The low barrier to entry with clean, easy to learn interface. What do you dislike? It is lacking some of the more advance features. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Daily and weekly tasks and tracking. It keeps everyone on the same page of what is done and what is next.

I would avoid asana like the plague
I signed up to asana pre-Covid and after using it for w few weeks we thought it was an ok platform Then due to the pandemic we decided to review our opinions and found Clickup (WHICH I TOTALLLY RECOMMEND) I reached out to support to try and get a refund as we had accidentally signed up to 12 months and I just got a standard spiel if ‘we don’t refund annual policies’I then send a response which it took 7 days for Asana (terrible) customer service to respond toThey are not offering a refund, ...

Great way to be on track of your tasks
What do you like best? I like that there are different ways to make task lists. Also, the inbox helps let you know what has come in recently. What do you dislike? I don't like that there is no app to download on your computer. That would be so helpful! Recommendations to others considering the product: Definitely try it out. It's very helpful and is a great way to connect with your colleagues on projects. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Project Management Made EASY!
What do you like best? I like the transparency and efficiency that Asana provides. I can easily check the status of a project and see who is working on what. Allows our business to plan and prioritize with ease. I use Asana template feature for team meetings and training schedules. Make sit super easy to update training and to keep track of it as well. I have had 3 new hires since March. Asana made the remote onboarding easy because I was able to check training progress, add notes, ...

Challenge to adopt
What do you like best? Lots of features and the UI was great in terms of design. What do you dislike? We found it difficult to integrate into our current business processes, and our adoption rate was low. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's a great platform to organize and manage collaboration IF you can get your teams to adopt it and stick with it. Much like any platform in that way, I suppose. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Works Best For Project Management!
What do you like best? 1) One of my favorite things about Asana is how easy it is to get an insight on those tasks within a project that require immediate attention. In the unfortunate event of a delayed project, you can quickly backtrack and understand how much of an impact this will have on the timeline of your project. 2) The fact that you can dissect an entire project, break it down and assign it to a concerned user/team member is amazing! Asana gives you visibility on all users, ...
