It’s easy and just works
What do you like best? That it always has the latest tools and functionality. You do not have to be a developer or know code to make amazing maps and apps. What do you dislike? That everyone needs a named user within an organization to view items without sharing them publicly. Be nice to have this available without going to Portal. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Educating the public about our history and current events using story map, ...

What do you like best? I am a pipeline engineer who has always used google earth and .KMZ files for routing etc. We recently moved our mapping system over to ArcGIS Online, which has made routing and system design a cleaner process. What do you dislike? The one disadvantage I have noticed about ArcGIS Online is that the imagery isn't as up-to-date as GoogleEarth. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Revision control is in my opionin the biggest ...

Awesome ArcGIS online
What do you like best? Allows users to publish their own maps, allowing sharing and collaborating with many other departments. Allows the GIS team to create quick OTS applications and share them inmediately, securing it as needed within the organization or outside entities. What do you dislike? The standard applications provided by application builder are too simple, widgets do not stand up. The user interface is not very friendly, specially for editing. Managing AGOL can be cumbersome; ...

App utilization such as Survey123
What do you like best? AGOL makes it very easy to access you applications from any location. I utilize the Apps such as Survey123 and Business Analyst. The simple Survey123 format makes it easy to collect simple or very detailed data depending what we are requiring. We also utilize the Survey123 to engage the public. What do you dislike? Biggest downside would be cost for an organizational account. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Citizen ...

ArcGIS Online for public view
What do you like best? ArcGIS Online makes it easy for a government agency to have a public facing version of an on-premise Portal for ArcGIS. What do you dislike? For our setup, it's a disconnected environment between Online and Portal. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Makes it easy to update data from beyond the firewall and collaborate with other organizations, without opening the firewall.

Glitches with ArcGIS Online interface w/in Story Maps
What do you like best? I like that AGO can be easily access and integrated with Esri Story maps. What do you dislike? I hate that the AGO interface within Story Maps is very glitchy and most times does not show the actual symbols when you are creating a map. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ArcGIS Online allows non-GIS users to quickly and efficiently create useful maps, so it's great for academic work.

Occassional User
What do you like best? The templates make it easy to create slick applications with minimal GIS skills. I'm particularly fond of imbedding options that allow me to combine a variety of functions like dashboards and sliders. What do you dislike? That publishing from Pro forcres data to be hosted in a maner that consumes credits instead of sticking to our SDE Recommendations to others considering the product: Allow server hosted/SDE data publishing from Pro w/o forcing credit consuming ...

Satisfied Analyst
What do you like best? WebApp Builder is easy to configure and great for customizing web apps fer many specific business use cases. It is easy to provide access to maps and apps to user across the company due to the online platform. What do you dislike? It can be difficult to work with enterprise data that is hosted behind the company firewall. When deploying a custom web app, it would be great if there was an option to upload the custom app to AGOL itself in My Content and host and ...

Great add-on but not a good standalone
What do you like best? the versatility for the layers and the options What do you dislike? That you can't get all the functionality with fonts, etc that you have in Pro. Once you share from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS online, it's very limited if you want to add any more data. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? With the need for maps of several areas, with ArcGIS online you can show all those areas by using bookmarks.
