ActiveCollab Reviews in June 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

Using ActiveCollab has changed the way we work!

PROS: We use the ActiveCollab cloud version and it's designed very well, easy to use, and always up! Best of all it's priced well compared to other project management tools that offer the same features. CONS: When a task is completed there should be a way to keep the task that was checked off displayed.

Great product for organizing tickets and tracking time spent.

PROS: It is super simple and easy to use. There is no "getting used to" period. Time reports are great if you have need for them, you can do whatever you want with them. CONS: The servers can be slow if you are not using yours.

Account Manager

PROS: Being able to run app on multiple devices. It is very user friendly. CONS: The rounding up of the log times needs to change. I think it should be exact time with the timer.

Two thumbs up for Active Collaboration

PROS: The task feature, the files tab and the discussion tab are the best aspects for me for this project. CONS: Changing calendars make it difficult to move out tasks all at one time a set number of days. Its not as simple as moving everything out 5 days some tasks might need to move out just 3 days, others 7 days, so the bulk edit doesn't solve for that.

What do you like best about ActiveCollab? Working for a marketing agency it was a good way to communicate across departments. What do you dislike about ActiveCollab? I think just some additional tabs would make the accessibility easier. Easier ways to communicate with other co workers, like messenger. What problems is ActiveCollab solving and how is that benefiting you? We needed a good CRM software for our company and we decided on this one. Keeping track of projects mainly.

"ActiveCollab is very finicky and makes everything harder. "

What do you like best about ActiveCollab? This software, when fully functional, is awesome for client relations. We are able to upload files, google docs, and more, all into one platform. Additionally, we can send messages, create and complete tasks, and even run time reports for what we need to do. Although it has issues, it is a good software, and there is nothing out there like it. Great platform with useful features, lovely interface.

PROS: I love the interface, and the updated version ActiveCollab 5, there is a huge improvement over AC4. The platform is similar with Basecamp, but Active Collab has more features than Basecamp, such as: invoicing, estimates and modules that help you to expand your collaboration with Slack. CONS: I don’t like the setup. Also, the system has many issues with customization, you cannot customize colors without redoing the portions of the system. What do you like best about ActiveCollab? This software was surprisingly easy for our small business to adopt given we had little exposure to SCRUM but a need to systematize for our rapid growth. "Project Management System for Project Work "

What do you like best about ActiveCollab? Active Collab provided the opportunity to set up templates and we could copy those templates into our active projects. As a project manager, also found the Activity tab to be super helpful. You could see how things are processing within the project and what team members have been completing.
