What is Zero-Downtime Deployment?
What does 'Zero-Downtime Deployment' mean?
Techniques such as rolling updates, blue-green releases and canary deploys let a new version of an application replace the old one while it keeps serving requests. New instances are started and health-checked before traffic is shifted to them and the previous instances are drained, so users are not shown errors or a maintenance page during a release.
