Producing a Software Bill of Materials: a machine-readable list of every component, library, and version that goes into a piece of software, along with dependency relationships and licence information. Common formats include SPDX and CycloneDX. It gives security teams and customers a way to check quickly whether a newly disclosed vulnerability affects anything they ship or run.
