What is On-Premises Deployment?

What does 'On-Premises Deployment' mean?

Rather than running as a hosted service, on-premises deployment means the software is installed and operated on servers the buyer owns or controls, whether in a private data centre or a self-managed cloud account. For messaging infrastructure such as a message queue, this keeps brokers, message payloads and configuration inside the organisation's own network boundary. Buyers usually choose it for data residency, latency, or regulatory reasons, accepting that they take on patching, scaling and uptime themselves.
