What is Dispute Management?
What does 'Dispute Management' mean?
Tracking and resolving disagreements over amounts owed, when a customer queries a line on an invoice or refuses to pay part of a balance. The disputed amount is flagged so it can be excluded from collections chasing while the query is investigated, with the reason, owner, and correspondence recorded against the invoice. Resolution ends in payment, a credit note, or a write-off, and the history is kept for later analysis of why disputes recur.
