What does 'Counter Management' mean?
Counter management is the staff-facing side of a queue: the screen where an agent signs in to a counter, calls the next visitor, marks a visit complete, and transfers a visitor onward. It also covers which services each counter is allowed to handle, and opening or closing a counter as demand changes. This is where routing rules take effect, so it determines whether a visitor reaches someone qualified to help on the first attempt.
