What is Context Window?
What does 'Context Window' mean?
The context window is how much text, code or other input the model can hold in one request, counted in tokens, together with everything it has already written in that same exchange. It sets the ceiling on how much of a codebase, a contract or a conversation can be considered at once. Watch for stepped pricing: several vendors charge a higher rate for every token in a request once the prompt passes a stated size, so a long window can cost more than its headline rate suggests.
