What is Card Issuance?
What does 'Card Issuance' mean?
The ability for a business to create and distribute its own payment cards, virtual or physical, on top of a payments platform rather than through a traditional bank program. Programmatic controls usually accompany it: spend limits, merchant category restrictions, single-use card numbers, and instant freezing. Companies use it for employee expenses, supplier payments, or to embed cards into their own product.
