Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Zoom's core strength is screen sharing and participant management at scale—the platform handles 300+ participants without degradation, and screen sharing works across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android without additional software. However, verify in your demo that the specific meeting size you need (under 100 vs. 500+) aligns with your plan tier, as participant ...Read more

Best Video Conferencing Solution

What do you like best? Zoom is a seamless solution for conferencing using multiple means of communicating -- video, voice, and text. What do you dislike? Ability to easily disable auto-video about joining a conference; it's currently hidden within settings. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Communicating cross-functionality internally as well as with third-party vendors who cannot attend meetings in-person.

Easy to use. Screen sharing is great!

What do you like best? Love how clean and clear the screen share feature is during the web meetings. I have used it both for the video feature where you can interview candidates through video chat without having to physically meet them in person. I have also used it as a web meeting option. Love that it is responsive and clearly presented to the attendees. What do you dislike? Sometimes I have attendees miss the call in information. I feel like you should be able to designate a ...

Works, but slows down computer

What do you like best? I like Zoom in that it's an easy way to connect with outside parties and agencies. The call-in number is always the same for each meeting, along with the code needed and this makes it easy to connect. What do you dislike? Zoom ofter slows down my internet, which is very difficult when you are trying to do screen sharing with other parties involved on the call. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you need an easy way to connect with people not ...

Good conferencing system few issues

What do you like best? Zoom is a reliable video systems, with a good video and sound quality. Specially comparing to some other solutions. What do you dislike? I don't like the unexpected disconnection in some cases when meeting owner leaves the meeting. As a user of Chromebook I'm forced to use the Chrome Extension version which has some bugs, like not being able to move the meeting window. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Zoom is ...

Unstable

What do you like best? Easy to install. (Even if I do not really like to install new software on my laptop What do you dislike? The connection was unstable. I think it was due to the unstable Internet Connection on my side. What would have helped is a quick fix for example a phone number that lets you connect to the call via your cell phone when you discover that your connection isn't good enough for a video conference via the web. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

Great way to stay connected

What do you like best? With Zoom, it’s easy to share a link to a meeting, make a call from mobile, share a screen, record a meeting and obtain a transcript. It's super useful when having regular office meetings. If you don’t have a Zoom account for a meeting, it’s no problem because they let you join without creating an account each time. My favorite part is you can make sure the call doesn't jump around to whoever is talking. What do you dislike? The only thing I could say that I ...

Great for remote employees

What do you like best? My manager is actually in a different time zone than I am, so it's great to hop on a quick Zoom call for our one on one meetings, or if I need feedback on a project quick. It's hard not just being able to swing by her desk when I need help, but Zoom makes it a little easier. What do you dislike? I don't like how you are limited to 15 min on a free account and get kicked out of meetings if they go over that. We can't have premium accounts for everyone at our ...
