Are you using Zoom?
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Zoom's core strength is screen sharing and participant management at scale—the platform handles 300+ participants without degradation, and screen sharing works across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android without additional software. However, verify in your demo that the specific meeting size you need (under 100 vs. 500+) aligns with your plan tier, as participant ...Read more

Audio and video quality are poor
What do you like best? Communicating "in person" is generally much easier than communication via text; it's faster and more robust. The ability to raise your hand is nice if you're overly quiet like myself. What do you dislike? The audio quality is poor; volume between participants varies greatly, it often drops the call, and disconnections are common. People are too quiet, underwater, or lag and go silent for a while. I'm hard wired into the company ethernet so computer speed doesn't ...

STANSW Science Extension PD
What do you like best? The Zoom tech was reliable throughout the 2 hour session and the record functionality in particular was useful as we are thinking of publishing the session online What do you dislike? The recording shows the thumbnail images of those people who have logged in. These people may not have realised that there images were being recorded. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are looking to share professional development ...

Meetings and conferences for my professional improvement
What do you like best? I use Zoom and I like everything it offers at the level of both personal and professional communication. With this application you can be in live contact with one or several people at a time and make conferences, meetings, debates, among many other communication options. The user interface is very nice and easy to access. Zoom offers live chat rooms, conducting seminars, courses, workshops, all in a virtual way, and has several plans and accessible prices, including ...

Easy to use once you get familiar with it all.
What do you like best? I love that you can schedule meetings ahead of time. It makes the meeting scheduling process a lot less stressful and hectic! What do you dislike? There are a ton of features that I felt like I wasn’t using at first. I wish there was more of a tutorial process in the beginning so that I can make sure I’m getting the most out of the software. Recommendations to others considering the product: Make use of all of the features!! What problems are you solving with ...

Works great for us, and we're just starting with Zoom.
What do you like best? I really like Zoom's great reputation and ease of use, at least initially. What do you dislike? I don't love that there's software to put on your computer to access all of the possibilities of the program. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Using Zoom for teaching online group and individual classes. Just starting with this software, but so far everything is running smoothly.

Enterprise AE using Zoom
What do you like best? Zoom has an intuitive UI/UX that allows for easy video meetings with people who have never used it, and the Chrome extension makes it very simple to integrate with Google Calendar. What do you dislike? Connecting to proper microphone/video source can be tricky Recommendations to others considering the product: It's a great product if you have the money to spend on it as opposed to something like Google Hangouts What problems are you solving with the product? ...

best conference tool
What do you like best? It automatically zooms in the person who is speaking. This function is by far the most useful one. It makes the tele-communication much more effective. Even without video (just do an audio, the platform tells you who is speaking. This is particularly useful if you have a large group of people. What do you dislike? I do not like the fact that doc sharing and exchanging are a little bit difficult. I see there is chat window, which is nice, but if there is an easy ...

Great tool for video conferencing
What do you like best? I really like Zoom for one on one video conferencing. Downloading the product and configuring it is pretty straight forward. The user interface of the product is intuitive and user friendly. You have a lot of different options from audio calls, video calls, screen sharing, and screen recording. You also have the ability to mute your microphone and just use a chat window. Zoom meetings are good for remote workers and teams. You also get your own personal virtual ...

Best Connection Out There
What do you like best? Living in Cambodia it is challenging to find a communication software that delivers clear and effective video connections. Zoom is the best for simple one-on-one meetings and for group meetings (I usually have up to 14 participants. I rarely get disconnected and when it does happen - zoom reconnects without me doing a thing. What do you dislike? It is a little pricey if you want to add additional hosts. As a small non-profit, it is too expensive for us to have ...
