Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Zoom's core strength is screen sharing and participant management at scale—the platform handles 300+ participants without degradation, and screen sharing works across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android without additional software. However, verify in your demo that the specific meeting size you need (under 100 vs. 500+) aligns with your plan tier, as participant ...Read more

Probably the best on the market, but some issues with usability and connectivity

What do you like best? Zoom is critical to the way we work (we are fully remote and is pretty easy to use, spin up an invite, and get face-to-face time quickly. I love the slack integration where I can just /zoom and be on a call with a teammate immediately. I like that it's a desktop app but feel that that is part of the issue that I'll describe below. What do you dislike? It's a little tough to handle screen sharing and there just always seems to be a little issue here and there ...

Zoom is Great for Screen Sharing

What do you like best? I am on a Board of Directors with other busy professionals who prefer Zoom meetings to in-person meetings. The Chair shares her screen with the agenda and types in the minutes as we meet and talk about each agenda item. By the time we are done, the minutes are done and we've all had the chance to clear up anything that's understood differently or recorded incorrectly. It is efficient. What do you dislike? Sometimes we can't figure out why one particular ...

The best option yet

What do you like best? Zoom is easy and reliable. We have tried multiple video conferencing solutions at my company and they have been overly complicated and unreliable. What do you dislike? The one thing I'd make better is split screen/ dual monitor support. I can't tell what is going on with it. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you need a solid video conferencing solution, Zoom is worth checking out. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Great communication platform for client meetings

What do you like best? The below things I liked the most: 1. Instant schedule a meeting and send an invitation 2. All the meetings are recorded in the cloud for further reference 3. Present the host to other team members in between 4. Screen sharing What do you dislike? On the mobile application, we can't change the host and doesn't have the privilege to record the meeting. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It is a great ...

Easy to use free video calling!

What do you like best? Easy to sign up for a free account, and even though it's time-limited without paying, it's great to use with others as you just need to share your sign in link. It's great both with large groups (I've used it with 20+ people and smaller conversations including one-on-one What do you dislike? The free version signs you out every 45 minutes. Additionally requires anyone who uses it to download some software before signing on for the first time to allow for it to ...
