Powerfull Collaboration Tool

What do you like best? Besides of e-mail feature, there are a lot of more useful features like calendars and task list. Also provides connectivity through IMAP/POP, CalDAV and CarDAV to external clients. Possibility to use and develop plugins (Zimlets) and multi language support are features that I consider very important due to multiusers enviroment and expansibility. What do you dislike? User web interface could be more friendly, but it is enough for daily use. Message backup ...

Fun but not always practical

What do you like best? The email interface was clean and uncomplicated. What do you dislike? It was a bit odd to try and set up originally once that was done I was good to go. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I was able to cleanly get all of my email in one place. Definitely a help when managing 4 accounts.

Zimbra supports debian

What do you like best? The good thing in zimbra is that it's freesoftware, and can be installed in various GNU/Linux distribution. Also something helpful when you have limited bandwidth is to switch to more efficient modes like mobile mode (url in /zimbra/m/zmain form) or even weaker thin client mode (url in /zimbra/m/zmain?zms=xlite&limit=5 form). Also the system can support external IMAP accounts , this makes zimbra a webmail of choice for several contexts. What do you dislike? I ...

I was happy when my university upgraded to a better software but Zimbra was good too

What do you like best? It had taken me so long to really get used to it that once I had to stop because my company switched to a different platform, I was only upset that I had invested all that time and energy for nothing. But it served me well when I was using it. I like that it's improved its look now. What do you dislike? It wasn't as user friendly as most email platforms and I did get the occasional junk e-mail, the prevention of which I thought was the point of the company ...

Powerful, feature filled, and great for our users and administrators

What do you like best? The powerful CLI and API are fantastic. It lets us not only provision accounts easily, we can automatically populate shared calendars, folders, and more based on department. The system has ActiveSync allowing mobile clients to easily sync calendars/contacts/mail without the complexity or cost of Microsoft Exchange. The multiserver architecture easily allows us to spin up additional capacity. The system has extremely detailed logs, which we are able to use to ...

Stable workable product that needs to modernize.

What do you like best? Platform is marketed as an exchange replacement, however since it's open source it is widely available to be used any way you like. The setup is fairly straight forward, it has all the components you need set up a cluster or expand your environment as much as you need to (LDAP) (MTA) (Store). What do you dislike? Zimbra has changed hands a few times in the past few years, making its development fragmented and a bit behind the curve. Mobile client is ...
