Great open source monitoring and alerting

What do you like best? This product runs without fail. I have used it with 5 proxies and never had a problem. One thing you need to count on is your monitoring system being stable. Others I have used aren't as reliable, then you are never sure if you are getting false alerts or have alerting coverage. This does all the standard monitoring and alerting very well. What do you like best? Close to nothing, the graphs not bad. Rest of the component is very complicated. What do you dislike? Zabbix is great for the large enterprise or devops

Zabbix is an excellent product for environments from small to very large in that it can be setup to monitor anything. It's low footprint for agents and focus on stability and scalability allows us to monitor thousands of machines with hundreds of thousands of metrics. The API allows any custom scripting you might need to build for functionality you might be lacking. Zabbix might not be suited for the "rookie" or SMB IT admin.

What do you like best? Easiness of configuration for our internal DevOps team. What do you dislike? Nothing to blame, our tech experts are pretty satisfied with the product. What do you like best? We are a WISP and minitoring is very important part of our work. We are using Zabbix for more than 10 years and we are very happy. Zabbix allows you to modify triggers and create your own system what works for you. Their support team great as well. What do you dislike? Flexibility and ease in monitoring the network

What do you like best? The system is easy to deploy rapidly. Within some other monitoring systems the sensors for network elements are arduous to deploy What do you dislike? Alerts can be overwhelming. Perhaps it is a lack of expense but we need to better qualify the alerts from Zabbix to better pain a picture of outage.
