This is a great tool, but it’d be better if...

This tool is one of the best I’ve ever had for learning a language. However, it’d be great if audios of the new words can be provided, like the online dictionaries. Besides, it’d be even better if there’s speech recognition for practicing speaking abilities; it can be part of the “Games”.Thanks so much again for creating such a great tool!

I like your site very much. Lessons with Daniela are brilliant. Marika is also very encouraging teacher. Perhaps, it is just a feeling at the moment, that now you have less materials of the other sort - films, documentaries.. As if you decided to change something. .

I am a retired language teacher and have subscribed to the Spanish program for years. It is a wonderful means of improving comprehension. I have one suggestion; I would like there to be less emphasis on music videos.

I love everything about Yabla

I love everything about Yabla. The ability with the videos to slow the speech, to pause, back up, repeat as often as necessary. I also like the variety of subjects in the videos. In addition to learning a language, I'm learning about the culture from some of the videos.

Enjoyable and Effective

I just started the program, but for me it is perfect. I can speak Spanish a lot better than I can hear it, so this program hits right on my weakness. It is easy, entertaining, and I am hearing the dialog much better with just a few sessions. I recommend this if you have some Spanish to begin with. Probably not best for absolute beginners.

I think Yabla is very good,as far as it goes.The videos and associated games are very good,and often challenging learning tools especially Scribe.The only thing missing,and I knew this going in,is a way for the student to practice speaking.I have only just begun using Yabla,so I will have more to say later.

What do you like best about Yabla? Yabla has videos that are current and relevant. Utilizing real language that is relatable to students is great so that they stay engaged. There are different levels of videos, so some are perfect for beginners, while others are more advanced. Having captions is nice for the reading component.

What do you like best about Yabla? I love that Yabla lets students play the video clips at a slower speed and also allows them to put the subtitles on. It's also nice to be able to click on the words in the subtitles to learn what the new words mean.
