Easy to use software

We have recently moved to using Xero as part of accounts software. We are a very busy legal firm and this move was a significant one for us because any disruption to our normal activities would have been unacceptable. Support is excellent

Support is excellent and very much to the point.The software is very sophisticated - I have had some difficulties in finding the right way to do things particularly with repeating invoices.

mtd and connection to hmrc

Had problems with mtd hmrc kepting blaming Xero three weeks of very helpful phone calls and trying lots of different things finally solved the problem.. hmrc had issued a new gateway Id without telling me . Took me 5 phone calls to them . Thank You Xero for trying everything you could to solve the problem

Absolutely awful

So the government are forcing all businesses into lining the pockets of private companies with the new Making Tax Digital scheme. Xero is confusing and unhelpful to say the least. I do not have time to learn how to use a piece of accounting software whilst running my business. Duplicate Data using EXPENSE IMPORTS

When you import Expense Data, the program allows duplicated/identical data to be imported, creating lots of extra work rectifying the mistake. (Importing Invoice Data captures duplicates and does'nt allow Importation to XEROWhilst the program does updates and changes the tabs settings (annoying with no notification, the default test program does not get updated and is in a different Format to the accounting program you are using.

But, when you start trying to perform day to day tasks with your own data Xero is clumsy and lacking in many basic features. I had an issue with importing a file…

I had an issue with importing a file and even via remote access myself and the support team could not work it out. However 30 minutes after we ended the remote support Adnan came back with the answer and it worked. Very friendly and good customer service
