Bank feeds are unreliable.

Xero is a bit of an ongoing frustration. The core services are ok, but the bank feeds are a problem, the constantly need updating and often just stop working for long periods of time. After signing me up on the basis of free bank feeds they changed the goal posts and now want to charge me for every account I use which adds up to a lot. Overall I think Xero is a great product although I can’t compare it as I haven’t tried other products like SAGE. It is pretty straightforward and it is quick to learn. Like everything there a few downsides:1). No live help of any kind and that includes online chat. The only thing available is forums and usual online help/search. I can honestly say customer support is…

I can honestly say customer support is excellent. I would totally recommend Xero, with all the experience I have had through using the system and the support when I needed was truly amazing, after a few chats back and forth I added Xero Support access which culminated in a phone call to me to run through the setting up of Payroll which was duly completed. I cannot thank them enough for their help especially Tess who was excellent throughout.

Xero is perfectly usable, but there are some silly frustrations

Xero has been a good choice overall for me when I started my business.Most of the tasks I have had to do have been reasonably clear, though I have needed some help from my accountant now and then.The reports are a complete mess - some figures are presented net of VAT and some gross, seemingly without rhyme or reason. Even if there was a reason for it (which I doubt!) then it would have been easy to add a note to the reports so it always stated whether the figures are net or gross.Finally I ...

Nice software, shame about the support. We have had a serious problem with our bank feed for 4 months. It was difficult getting Xero to acknowledge the problem and since then it appears to be placed on the 'too difficult' pile with very poor comms and no-one apparently prepared to take responsiblity for a solution.I like the software but the customer support leaves much to be desired

Easily the best recommendation

I was recommended Xero and decided to look into it after having a nightmare time with another accounting/crm package. I successfully migrated over in under a day, something that took months on the old system, I was amazed at how straightforward it was. Everything about Xero works well for us and it is a joy to use. Wonderful Xero

I can't recommend Xero highly enough - I think it's a wonderful package. I helped set it up at work more than four years ago and we still use it today. When I became the Treasurer of a small charity I did so on the condition that we could use Xero - it's so easy and our Independent Examiner uses it to which meant we could do the whole examination virtually - and this was before lockdown.
