WPEngine customer for 6 months got into a situation where my card got stolen and I could not pay the subscription. My site is down for 2 days. I asked them to change my payment method to Paypal. I was told no. I asked them to give me access to my account but they are saying I need to deal with databases, FTP, zip downloads which I don't know how to do. I asked them to just give me access for 1 hour to download my website myself, 4 times contacting support no solution. Won't recommend, ...

As others have said their support is terrible, my most recent experience is spending an hour on live chat to be told to do something and go away and see if it worked. Despite it being contrary to their own documentation. Clearly an attempt to get rid of me. Their system is overly complicated and has proprietary quirks which makes it idiosyncratic and it would seem nobody there understands it full - and/or bothers to keep their own documentation up to date. "Nicely organizes all of our sites into one succinct place."

What do you like best about WP Engine? Able to see everything in one dashboard. Works so I can simply log in and update everything at once rather than keeping hundreds of usernames and passwords on sticky notes around my office. What do you dislike about WP Engine?
