Simple to use layout and easy learning curve

What do you like best? When you are new there is a help tab for every question or issue. And what is great is any and all changes do not go through till you hit "save" which helps to give added protection. What do you dislike? So far I haven't found anything I dislike. Recommendations to others considering the product Don't let all the options scare you. The system is very user-friendly and there is a lot of support for any issues or questions you may have. Not to mention google ...

Very clunky interface but gets the job done

What do you like best? I like that the user has the ability to customize the website/blog in many different ways, from the look and content to section headers/organization. What do you dislike? The user interface is very, very clunky. I am relatively new to using Wordpress, but it seems like there are multiple ways to get to the same outcome, and sometimes I get lost down a rabbit hole of clicks. When my business partner and I were working on the website at the same time on different ...

Easy Web and Blog Tool

What do you like best? The best feature of Wordpress is it's user-friendliness. I have used it both as a blog and as a website and have found it to be intuitive, clear, and easy to use. For those that don't have HTML or extensive web design experience, it's great. I also have used it as a blogging tool and found it easy to use. It has good tracking tools, it's easy for people to subscribe, and it's easy to share via other mediums like social media. What do you dislike? My only ...

I use Wordpress for my website, and I love it!

What do you like best? I like the ease of using the site, I also like that I can transfer over to my hosted domain. What do you dislike? The themes available are not to my liking much. Recommendations to others considering the product I would suggest that WordPress put some more effort into actually being there for people when they need help. I was once in dire need of help on my site, and there was no customer service available to me;there was only the forums. Forums do not always ...

Loving the customization + support

What do you like best? I love that I can use WordPress on virtually any host, making finding one that meets my budget easy. Because it's used by so many bloggers, it's also really easy to find support via articles, forums, etc. What do you dislike? Because WordPress is used by so many bloggers, it seems to attract hackers/spammers. Being a "beginner" blogger, I wasn't prepared for this type of attack, how to prevent it from happening, and how to fix it after it did. This is when the ...

Versatile, but not for beginners!

What do you like best? I really enjoyed that I fully owned the site and had free rein of what I wanted to do. What do you dislike? I kept running into road blocks with my basic Wordpress knowledge and lack of additional money for upgrades. Recommendations to others considering the product Purchase a course in building a Wordpress site or have funding to pay someone else to build your site What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

I absolutely love it!

What do you like best? I love how easy it is for everyone in my organization to use. Even our older users have no issues using it, where they had trouble with other solutions. What do you dislike? At times, it can seem a bit oversimplified, such as the fact that by default, I have no access to files from within the admin panel, but overall I have no issues with it. Recommendations to others considering the product I would recommend that everyone consider using wordpress for any ...

Website page creation

What do you like best? WordPress is a very easy tool to use for creating web pages. We use this product for our entire website to advertise our services and to point customers to resources that are available to them. What do you dislike? I do not know a lot about the back end of things since I don't have a role in original content and creation so I cannot really speak to how it is all set up. One thing that I miss that is available in Springshare is the ability to post books in the ...

Wordpress for Departmental Customization

What do you like best? I love the freedom for customization in Wordpress, that without having backend access I can still code my own pages, have my own set of files and media, and be in charge of all the content in a meaningful and simple way. There is a lot of customization available with Wordpress and making it match the branding of the college is important. What do you dislike? The visual editor of the pages. The visual editor does not take into account the custom CSS of the page, ...

Easy to Use

What do you like best? I like that Wordpress sites look extremely professional even though they cater to beginner website developers. What do you dislike? At times, the Wordpress interface can get confusing for newbies. There are a lot of categories of services that I just didn't understand - like widgets. Recommendations to others considering the product I would definitely recommend using wordpress if you are just starting out creating a website. However, there were not many ...
