Wordpress-- The good, the bad and the ugly
What do you like best? I like that you can use this even if you are not a code person. What do you dislike? I sometimes find it had to maneuver the site and figure out the ins and outs What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I am solving the ability to advertise and get the word out. I realize that Wordpress has it's moments but overall not a bad platform to use for web design

Not Efficient Enough
What do you like best? I do have to admit I liked that layouts at first. They offered me options for good websites and if you were a blogger, this software is right up your ally. What do you dislike? I was introduced to other platforms and found that Wordpress, for me, was a lot more complicated to use, especially building websites. You definitely have to know how to code to get basic options done. I used Wix and other web builders since then and I am much happier with the results. ...

Wordpress review
What do you like best? I like the ability to sync up my template which is called Semplice. Wordpress itself feels more like a vessel to put my own content and skins. I like that it allows easy installation of themes from other organizations. What do you dislike? It feels like a clunky, ugly platform with outdated visual design. I felt confused when I first started using it, and didn't understand if I had to pay for it or what. The themes that Wordpress creates leave a lot to be desired ...

Extremely versatile (ecommerce/landing pages/etc) and amazing community
What do you like best? You can truly make almost anything with the Wordpress platform, whether you're making an e-commerce platform, brochure site, or landing page. What I like about Wordpress over Shopify or Squarespace is that it's way more flexible. As a developer, the way they've set up the platform to be extremely modular (plugins, themes, etc is incredible and makes development easy. Additionally, because there's such a huge community, 80-90% of what you need has already been ...

Amazing blogging platform
What do you like best? Great platform for content management and blogging, easy to setup and support - plenty of themes to install and play around with. Additionally the barriers to entry are fairly low meaning anyone can get started and have some reasonable success. What do you dislike? It would be nice if the more advanced features required less code, this would enable more accessibility for average users Recommendations to others considering the product What kind of a CMS ...

Wordpress Ninja
What do you like best? I like the user-friendly interface Wordpress offers. I can train employee with no web design experience who to use Wordpress in one day and they do not need to know how to code to make website edits. What do you dislike? Not all themes are created alike. I have used a few different themes that have drag and drop building options. A lot of other themes do not offer this. They require you to only use their layout and follow their pre-determined template. I also do ...

Good, but not exceptional
What do you like best? I like the CSS presets for fonts and the organization of photo albums. Makes it easy to be consistent and look organized. What do you dislike? The text formatting in terms of line breaks is awful. The edit window looks nothing like the preview or actual page and you can't just align it with something you have to guess at how many spaces to add, but then it still gets all messed up based on how zoomed in or out your screen is. Recommendations to others ...

Wordpress -- easy to use
What do you like best? Ease of use - pretty designs that are pleasing to the eye. What do you dislike? Sometimes the apps & widgets can get too tricky -- hard to know which are real and which are not hack-proof Recommendations to others considering the product I would recommend tutorials or a basics class to get it right the first time. I have a few WORDPRESS sites, and it can get overwhelming. However, once you're set up, it's easy to use. p.s. be sure to have a back up in ...

Wordpress for Freelance Designers
What do you like best? I love the flexibility of the platform and the huge variety of high quality plugins. For clients with low budgets, the availability of quality, well-documented themes is a plus. Additionally, due to its popularity, it's the easiest platform for which to find proven freelance help or just solid online help forums and other resources. What do you dislike? Wordpress is built on relatively old technology. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...
