Great Platform for Creativity and Discovery

What do you like best? Wordpress offers so many tools for a variety of users, beginner to advanced. You can make your page as custom or preset as you would like. The platform also makes it easy for you to follow other bloggers that you admire in a way that curates their content into tone newstream which is very informative, helping you keep up to date in one place. What do you dislike? UX isn't totally intuitive and even with the help section it isn't the easiest. You really have to ...

Work Marriage Made In Heaven

What do you like best? I love the reliability and familiarity of Wordpress. It's easy to learn and challenging to master. What do you dislike? I dislike their reliance on forums for answering problems. Recommendations to others considering the product Check out wpbeginner.com What business problems are you solving with the product? What do you like best? Wordpress is the best platform to start a blog on! It was easy to use and with it were able to create a wonderful blog! We could all sign into our accounts and work on our pieces; it was very nice! What do you dislike? Wish there were more design features! Good for the layperson

What do you like best? Easy set up for people who don't know much about web sites. The default (free templates are decent. There are lots of free widgets to use. What do you dislike? The interface, even for a web designer like me, is not intuitive. Sometimes all the widgets get confusing, especially those that seem to have the same function. The free templates are okay but so locked down you usually can't get a look-and-feel that's distinct. The templates for sale range in quality - ...

Easy to Use but Easy to Hack

What do you like best? When I used WordPress, I liked how easy it was for someone like me to use. Without an extensive background in web development, I was able to easily create a beautiful website. What do you dislike? After a year or so of maintaining my website, the comments got hacked somehow and I ended up with HUNDREDS of random comments from spam bots. Soon after that, my whole website was hacked and no longer is in use. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Wordpress - Total Design Control

What do you like best? Creating a website as a graphic designer with CSS coding experience is so easy with Wordpress. I simply purchase a premium theme, install to Wordpress and I have full control over all plugins and coding aspects of the site -- complete back-end control. I have found with both Squarespace and Wix, you do not have full access to the back-end, or you need to pay more to get more of that control and access. With Wordpress, I have access to everything I want to control, ...

It's good for a Blog engine

What do you like best? It's fine for a blog engine. I am not a fan of it as a CMS for an actual website though. What do you dislike? This is not the right tool for a website but excellent for a blog. Recommendations to others considering the product If you are building a blog then this is great. I do not believe it is the correct tool for a full blown website though. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have built websites ...

Not a Fan

What do you like best? I love the layout of wordpress and the easiness of navigating the site What do you dislike? I was trying to transfer my blogspot to wordpress, and found the whole task to be VERY difficult, mostly on Wordpress' end. I thought it would be simple like transferring hotmail to gmail, but this is a special monster. Unfortunately I will not be using wordpress. Recommendations to others considering the product If you're an active blogger and are not currently on ...

Flexible and Easy to Use and Customize

What do you like best? Wordpress.org. is really flexible out of the box, and if there is ever anything I can't get to work, there is always a plugin available. The feature I like most in Wordpress is probably one of the most simple features: the Text and Visual toggles on the pages. That, and the update rollback feature are instrumental to what I do in web design for clients. What do you dislike? I had to think for a long time to come up with something I did not like about ...

It's not just about blogging...WordPress is simply the best way to build almost any website

What do you like best? WordPress can be whatever you want it to be. Blogging, for sure, but it's so much more. I've built enterprise-level sites, mobile apps and chatbots using WordPress. When it's time to build a new web application, I think WordPress first, then look for reasons going a different way would be better, and it rarely happens. I've developed with Drupal, Joomla, custom PHP, you name it. I just do jobs faster and better with WordPress. And their new Rest API capabilities are ...
