Wordpress - The Best CMS System for Personal and Professional Websites

What do you like best? When Wordpress started off it started as a simple blog system. All it could do is allow you to create a basic HTML site that made it easy to write and post blog posts without the need of knowing HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL or any other form of website programming languages in order to publish your written work. Since then Wordpress has developed into one of the worlds largest Content Management Systems that can be customized without and with using 3rd party plugins, ...

Good for entry level user

What do you like best? Wordpress is great for getting a site up quickly but being a web designer I'm sick of arriving at a job and discovering that the site rebuild is needed because someone has put all the info in widgets! Very time consuming. If your paying over £1000 for your website try and get it done in HTML5 and avoid cms. If you need to administer your site with no technical knowledge the Wordpress is great. What do you dislike? Having ran my website since last September ...

Content Powerhouse

What do you like best? I love that WordPress is a fluid solution for both new users and pros. You can get as technical in your coding, or opt for a simple drag and drop instead. Wordpress is very easy to master and to teach to others. What do you dislike? There isn't much that I dislike about Wordpress. Perhaps the fact that some updates cause issues. Updating to new versions always makes me a bit nervous. Recommendations to others considering the product Always use a quality ...

Good site but not for professionals

What do you like best? It is free, easy to use, and allows people to get to know how to build a website - it is good for NEWBIES in the tech/blogging world and users will find that it is a very easy and fun site to use. It is perfect for people who are learning the ropes so to speak. What do you dislike? I don't like how the interface looks amateurish, which does not help people who are professionals and want to take their company to the next level; I do not like how there are no ...

Great Tool If You Know How To Use It

What do you like best? WordPress allows you to make really personalized websites. WordPress sites are very functional and they can be very attractive. I've found it easy to find programmers who specialize in WordPress, which is a must if you want to create an effective site. What do you dislike? In my opinion, the early steps of setting up a WordPress site aren't very intuitive. Once a programmer builds the site out a bit, however, I do find WordPress to be a very simple CMS. What ...

Why would you use anything else?

What do you like best? The flexibility for sure. I feel like wordpress can do virtually anything with the right combination of plugins/widgets. I love it, it's followed me through consulting, owning my own business, re-branding, I've helped many other people get started on it as well. The flexibility and versatility cannot be beat, and it's a crazy huge cost saver as well! What do you dislike? Is potential overwhelm at all of the incredible possibility something to dislike? I guess for ...

Love the pricing!

What do you like best? At first, it was hard for me to find an interest in WordPress considering it's initial attraction was lacking. But after having a closer look, I found it to be a very professional software that was nicely priced and easily acceptable. What do you dislike? I couldn't seem to get back the fact, though, that it seemed like most WordPress sites all looked the same. There wasn't much individuality. As a person like me that desires to stand out in every asset of my ...

GREAT PROGRAM

What do you like best? WordPress is so easy to use! I really feel comfortable using this program. Creating posts, editing posts & pages, scheduling posts--all of it is great! What do you dislike? Not much to dislike! If I had to pick, I would say maybe how often posts get saved? This is super nitty gritty because WordPress already saves post drafts pretty quick but faster is always better. Recommendations to others considering the product consider how many blogs/websites you want to ...
