Visual Studio is a full featured IDE

What do you like best? Visual Studio is, in my opinion, the best IDE to use for developing products using .Net. It's shear number of features is one of its great strengths as well as its integration with the .Net language. In particular its debugging and analysis tools make developing new features easy to do. What do you dislike? The biggest downside to Visual Studio is its overall size. It seems "heavy" to use for small projects or uncomplicated projects with just a few files. For ...

Best for Windows/Web/Game App development

What do you like best? Visual Studio 2019 can do almost anything that another IDE can do. The package ecosystem is huge and the IDE itself is very customization. What do you dislike? I wish it was a little more lightweight and Visual Studio Code packages would be included. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Creating ASP.Net web apps. Less build tooling and many out of box solutions.

Best IDE out there

What do you like best? It supports almost all major languages and has plugins by community to make developers' life easier. And there's a free version for hobbyists too. What do you dislike? Visual studio is trying to add too many features which slows it down sometimes. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our project is huge but Visual studio still manages to keep up with it and if we run into issues their support team helps us out as ...

MS Visual Studio Review

What do you like best? It is the one-stop solution to design, code, test, and deploy your software solution. What do you dislike? Well, it's almost perfect. I would mention the weak support of GIT. It's a minor thing but some default settings are make for people who never do code editing. Like not tracing the module you are doing changes to in the solution explorer by default. Recommendations to others considering the product: At this point, it's the best EDI around What ...
