My favorite IDE for coding

What do you like best? It has support for python in the IDE I'm most comfortable with, before being a Network Engineer I worked as an indie game developer with unity and C# and is really nice to know that python support was added to Visual Studio, back in the day when I was at college I needed to use a different IDE for different programming languages, now I can use Visual Studio for everything, including Python and shell scripts and as a hobby I still edit C# for my indie games. What ...

My experience with Visual Studio

What do you like best? The intuitive user interface, which is the same in every version of it, and the availability of free download versions on the Microsoft website. What do you dislike? Not having the full source code, such as the one used for the UI Design, in a way that I could design my own controls. It happened a few times which I required custom made controls, and I had to really work on it, without the possibility of implementing them as drag-and-drop controls. ...

Visual Studio, getting awesome!!

What do you like best? Visual Studio is a complete IDE for a software developer, I've been using it for 7 years and keep going with it. With this, you don't need to install any plug-ins because everything you need is already there. Ranging from IntelliSense up to unit test are already there. However, it also comes with free edition for community edition which more than enough to start software development. It also supports multiple languages from the beginning, you can have ...

Easy way to deal with C++

What do you like best? I have used Visual Studio for far too many years now, and as a Windows User, it's just the most convenient tool to use, with frequent updates and many languages with great support I just have not needed to switch at all. It has some downsides but it's just a great tool for programming overall. What do you dislike? Rebooting my machine for updates? It's not the 90s anymore. My machine has only SSDs so it takes like 10 seconds, but I also have other things opened. ...
