Expert's Review

TunnelBear stands out as a VPN solution that combines ease of use with an engaging, fun interface, making it particularly appealing to beginners. Many users have praised its intuitive setup, adorable bear-themed design, and reliable connections for accessing geo-restricted content, such as Netflix and gaming servers. The inclusion of a free plan with 500 MB of ...Read more

Clear terms

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? No hidden fees, the terms are transparent. They even outright declare you can’t use it for pirated streaming (now that’s honest and they don’t hide the fact they only have 900 server locations (they’re putting up more. And the guys are in Canada not in some Caribbean town out of reach of legal regulations. Overall, I trust this VPN service with my money. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Nothing much to say ...

Does what it says on the tin

Does what it says on the tin, no issues tbh, there are far worse VPN providers and this one is reliable, no DNS leaks either 😊

started off so well but...

started off so well but I think they might now be resting on their laurels. The first two years were fine. Lately though, things have gone downhill rapidly. Since mid-December I've put in four requests and had NOT ONE reply. The issues I'm facing are that BBC iPlayer is consistently blocked by their servers on a regular basis. On top of that, Tunnel Bear constantly logs me out on my Windows machine and won't let me log in saying that the password is invalid. it's not because I can log in on ...

They do not communicate and they have …

There is no way to get help when you need it, and they have no refund policy! I had a problem being able to access content in the U.K. tunnel. Tried the solutions recommended on the website, to no avail. Sent several e-mails, got no response. I couldn't find a number to call, finally canceled my subscription. No refund, even though I paid for a year without being able to access any of the content I wanted since the day I paid. They suck! Do not use! Don't waste your money on TunnelBear.

Rubbish Scam to be Avoided

What a lot of rubbish. They offer a few MB as the Free subscription, which is ok, but then offer another 1GB if you tweet, which I did. They said they would see the tweet and credit your account immediately. I tweeted - no credit, so I tweeted again. Still no credit. It is clearly a scam to get you to upgrade. People really need to avoid this outfit. Totally unreliable and I am unconvinced it delivers what it says.

Total Rip off

Total Rip off. The program does not work, connections simply fail, no error messages, help pages are useless and support desk is a phantom, you might as well ask your grandmother for support, at least she will answer you. Don't buy

Solid, reliable vpn provider for windows and iOS, good privacy and transparent terms and conditions.

Been using their free service for a week, subscribed through TechRadar to receive an additional 5Gb. So far on windows pc and iOS it's worked fine, speeds have dropped on iOS 4G from 60Mbps to around 17Mbps but this is to be expected with using a VPN, I note another reviewer leaving low rating because of this but they don't seem to understand there will always be a drop in speed. I too have not received my twitter 1Gb bonus usage despite a couple of tweets via TunnelBear app but I have ...
