Spotsaas Editor’s POV

TeamViewer's free tier is genuinely useful for occasional personal remote access—screen sharing, file transfer, and unattended access all work without payment limits. An indispensable program!

First, I am able to help my friend without any fancy setup. TeamViewer is "dead simple" to use. Second, it's free for my occasional use. But if I knew I was going to be using it for multiple friends or for many sessions or for a long time, I would look into a subscription. Right now, it's only "on demand" and very occasional. It's the perfect answer to the problem of helping someone be able to use their computer. I've tried the others, but I've always come back to TeamViewer.
