Great Visualization Service

What do you like best? I like that everything is drag and drop, which makes experimenting with different visualizations very easy. Also that the visualizations update automatically when you make changes to the data in your excel document. What do you dislike? There is not much that I dislike, but sometimes the system gets confused when you upload multiple sheets from a single excel document. Recommendations to others considering the product Great for those who have experience with ...

Makes telling stories with data easy!

What do you like best? Tableau is great for creating a story using data. It is easy to create modular dashboards and immersive visualizations that allow users to explore what is happening within their organization. Whether it be marketing, finance, or operations data, Tableau allows for tremendous flexibility to detail exactly what is going on. What do you dislike? Data manipulation can sometimes be cumbersome - having a data cleansing tool (Excel, Alteryx, etc. is recommended to make ...

Good data visualization software

What do you like best? The ability to create unique views of the data and save it in a storyboard format is the best feature. What do you dislike? The inability to have more than a few line graphs in a chart is very frustrating. Recommendations to others considering the product There are lot of competing products so do a thorough evaluation before paying the high fee for this product. I do like how I was able to pay a one-time fee and no annual support so I don't have any on-going ...

Experience using Tableau Desktop

What do you like best? Tableau has many advanced features. I really like the flexibility to connect to many different sources. I also like the trend analysis and regression. I also like the maps where I can visualize the data according to the areas and postal codes. It helps to analyse huge data volumes by bringing the data offline. What do you dislike? Sometimes dashboards can be overwhelming to users who are new to understand the data. It would be great to have a feature where we can ...

Review of Data Visualisation Tool Tableau

What do you like best? I like the simplicity of tool as its too easy to learn and work on Tableau. The basic function are pretty straight-forward and can be learned in 2-3 days. For advance analytics also user need not to know much coding algorithm, Anyone who is not having much exposure to coding, can also work on advance analytics using Tableau as it doesn't require much coding. What do you dislike? The only major thing which I dislike integration of Tableau with R. Running R code with ...

Great user interface. Tableau is the next big thing

What do you like best? The interface is great. Very easy to use. Tableau lets you make charts and dashboards quickly. These things used to take so much time in powerpoint and other tools. There are so many features that no one I know can say that he has a complete grip of everything that Tableau can do. We can also use Zip-terr files to plot maps. What do you dislike? There is nothing much dislike really. They also have a public desktop version for free use. It can improve on the data ...

Lots of upside and ability to do complex analysis but hard to get used to

What do you like best? I like that there are lots of options and I feel like I can do complex analyses using the software. The ability to extract or have a live feed of data is also a big plus for me. What do you dislike? Since the software is expensive and not so easy to use I can't create cards or dashboards for execs in the company that they can then take and modify. For that reason, and because I'm not able to share with other people so easily I prefer Domo. Recommendations to others ...

A Great solution with a lot of bells and whistles

What do you like best? It's much easier to clean the data with tableau and make it of higher qualities. the way it recognizes data fields and allow to connect them as well is a great advantage. The visualization options are also superior What do you dislike? To be honest I love it, it's just the market is being flooded now with similar software ( Not as refined though but for free, also the way we share reports could be refined to be more easily accessible Recommendations to others ...
