What do you like best? coming from the old school of Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, tableau is so easy to use. You can design a sharp dashboard quickly. Best data pivoting and visualization solution on the market (IMHO)
What do you like best? Super simple to connect to existing data sets or SQL queries to build them. You can then build custom groupings, sets, and derived metrics in the platform (taking the weight off your shoulders of conducting in-query arithmetic. Build tables, maps, charts, histograms, etc. Easily share images, csvs, or complete workbooks with colleagues. What do you dislike? I wish it was more stable with certain monitor types. Dynamic and user friendly way to analyze data and operationalize analyses
What do you like best? Tableau is powerful in cutting data many different ways. There are also a lot of built in calculation functions that enables calculations like "YoY, MoM, Percent difference, cumulative". What do you like best? Once you get used to it, setting up reports and charts is easy and can look very good. What do you dislike? The learning curve takes a little time and being used to Microsoft tools is a disadvatage because this tool works very differently in some aspects. Great BI tool for the novice data scientist, but lacks functionality for advanced users
What do you like best? For those coming from Excel spreadsheets and workbooks, this is a great tool that's very friendly and easy to use. You are easily able to connect to data from many sources and easily visualize and aggregate information. The server works very well with Desktop and with features like alerts, email subscriptions, and auto refreshes, this is far superior to the industry gold standard Crystal Reports. Amazing tool for data visualization!!
What do you like best? Tableau can perform very complex data visualization in a very simple, drag and drop manner. It is also very interactive and wide range of charts available. Tableau is also very fluid on a mobile platform. Comparatively low-cost solution. What do you dislike? Embedding or sharing charts is still a little difficult and not very user friendly.
