MONEY STOLEN FROM MY ACCOUNT TOO
It has been over a month since an unauthorised transactions (over £3K) was made from my account taking out all the money I had in my Sum Up account. It left me in a position, where I had to pay staff salary and stock bought for a big event from money that was supposed to be for credit card payments. I am paying interests as I cannot afford anything at the moment. That is how bad they security problem left me. They Keep on sending me emails apologising as the money has left the bank and they ...

Sum up are an absolute nightmare
Sum up are an absolute nightmare. When the transaction is simple that is no problem but once you have the smallest issue the whole thing unravels. Their 'customer service' is an insult - endless emails with a new reference number each time but no resolution. Impossible to get access to online chat. They say they are overwhelmed - no doubt due to a high level of complaints. No follow through, no escalating of procedure, no link to people you previously dealt with , no continuity of service. ...

Unless you have a back up option avoid SumUp
I joined SumUp after receiving and email invitation. The onboarding process was a total nightmare with a couple of different departments who clearly never talk to each other. After some considerable time and effort I was able to speak to a real person who was helpful in getting the system set up and working. That was the end of the positive interaction with SumUp. The system is super sensitive and almost every sale was subject to a time consuming and confidence removing two factor auth ...

Had a problem with a customer paying a invoice on line. Invoice sent waiting a week then up sun decided to decline the payment that is was too big of an transaction. £2000 this is a joke and don’t even try and speak to a human on the phone. That’s a joke. I have very angry customers that there payments can’t be processed

We started using Sumup for our new business and to start with it was great then we couldn't access the app as it said your account needs to be verified. We emailed the relevant documents and received an email saying they had been received but nearly 4 weeks later we still can't use the Sumup as it still hasn't been verified, How long does it take ??emails are just being ignored. Wish we had never used Sumup

Avoid
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Case number 24303964 It is this company that ruined my business, my family and my life!!! They keep my fund from 11th July and promised that they will transfer the money to me on 7th September. It is a great deal of money and I have been struggling to survive since that time. I waited days after days, missed most of my bills which cost unrecoverable harm to my credit score. I thought I see the bright as approaching the due date but today, 2nd September, they say will ...

Poor customer service
The card reader at work has been faulty for months now and is held together with sellotape to make it work and connect to the base. The one they originally supplied arrived faulty. Only way to contact them is through online chat which then get escalated to another team. Then you hear nothing - tried several times. Great when it works, but rubbish when it doesn't. If your business relies on having a card reader working continuously and fast replacement when it doesn't look for a another ...

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
Please Avoid and open an account with Wise instead. When you start earning £300 plus in your business, they will hold your hard earned sales revenue. I connected the account to my Etsy account as I sell skincare and art on Etsy. Sumup Emailed me today saying they need proof of were to transactions are coming from when they can clearly see it’s from a legit billion dollar marketplace Etsy that have verified me and have all my identify information. Notice they don’t ask you for your ...

Withholding Funds- AVOID
AVOID! Avoid SumUp at all costs. They’re currently holding funds due to me in excess of £3k. They’re refusing to pay out and holding the monies for 60 days possibly longer. They’ve gave no reason and you can’t speak to anyone who can deal with it. They insist on emails but no reply’s back answering the full question. If your in this situation, go to the financial ombudsman or begin court action. This would damage some smaller companies not having much needed cash flow. I personally wouldn’t ...
