Hold your money for weeks and no refund

I have received payment in the sum of around £4000 for a job I am doing for a client. I have had various emails from SumUp with regards to security issues. I have then passed on all the relevant information along with talking to customer services where they had agreed. I passed all the security and they would release funds within 1 to 5 days after with holding for over 2 weeks. Sum upis Fraudulent Customer service is appalling.

Sum up Customer service is appalling. They have withheld my payment with no reason as to why. It has now been 6 business days. I have called, messaged and emailed everyday and now one has bothered to resolve this. Sum up is illegally holding my money Sum up is extremely unprofessional there customer service only give generic mesages. They can not resolve your issues. There is no way to escalate your issues. Do not use Sum Up!

I do not recommend Sumup

I do not recommend Sumup. When I issue a payment link to a customer I use the invoice number as a reference. However when that payment hits our bank account that reference does not appear, instead for each payment Sumup uses a cryptic reference which we cannot link to a specific invoice. So we waste time trying to identify who the customer is. I am looking for a more practical and less time consuming alternative to Sumup.

We are a Rotary Club and use our SumUp regularly for members to pay for their meals etc. We recently collected for the Turkey & Syrian earthquake disaster fund, during these collections the card reader proved to be very popular, and we received a number of large donations, one being £150.00 and several of £50.00, which if we had only been collecting cash, would probably have been £5.00 or £10.00

If I could give this company a minus I would Terrible and I mean terrible customer service. Have been fighting for access to my account since they took it over from Debitoor in December. Cannot pass security as they have lost all my personal information. Cannot access my account as they have lost all personal information. They have lost 29 years off my business invoices. They Have charged me £57 for a pro plan which they will not refund for the privilege of not be able to use the account. ...

Terrible Company to use, customer service is patronising and in effective I have had numerous problems with sum up using the QR codes Would never use this Company in the future or recommend to anyone Please keep away from SUM UP

Out to ruin businesses

Where do I begin. Back in February asked to provide information, did so next day. Explained I don't know how many times I am a private hire taxi driver and do not give invoices out of the machine just businesscard receipts or email receipts, my payments are taxi fares, nothing more, just plain and simple taxi fares. Withholding my money now since mid February and its virtually costing me my business. Promise to get back to me and never do, phoned and emailed so many times have lost count. ...

I would say this is a legit app! ❤️ I have a skincare business and I use Sumup to do my invoices and my online store. Its very handy! ☺️

So easy to use.

I find Sum Up a great facility to have in my small business. It is very straightforward and easy to use.

Card reader broke just for no reason

Card reader broke just for no reason. It is used very rarely. No replacement. Very slow reply.
