I have been a sum up customer for years…

I have been a sum up customer for years but on receiving my new 3 G card reader with printer everything has gone wrong. The printer does not print & the screen goes all the colours of the rainbow. No customer support whatsoever, don’t want to know even though it is only two months old and well in warranty.I have tried so hard to sort this out with sun up but they simply do not care about their customers anymore. I’m off to Zettle by PayPal, no customer support can be worse than these people ...

Appalling service!

We have a card reader and links for an occasional use, for when a customer needs to pay our company by card, although we always try to use bank transfer, so it’s pretty rare. We’ve used the link twice in the past few months for out of area customers. The second time, it wouldn’t work. A few days later I got an email, saying that we had breached our link account limit or something. I’ve tried for about a week to get some sense out of customer services very but it’s not possible to get past ...

Frozen profile for 8 weeks..still no explanation

Just another review and an update to my Sum up account/“Profile”. Being frozen for past 2 months … although I have made enquiries every 2weeks within chat facility I get the same AI generated answer … “we are treating your request with urgency thank you for your patience”. No explanation for freezing the balance in my account, I have a above average credit rating and have had no problems dealing with Zettle/PayPal. Bad customer service.. Cowboy outfit. We've been using sumup for a number of years, low transaction charges, no monthly fees, plus most types of card are accepted. At times we have even been using 3 readers simultaneously without any problems. Would we go back to an old fashioned machine, no way

Similar problems as many other people

Similar problems as many other people. My card reader was blocked and was advised by customers service to return the reader and they would send a replacement. When this did not arrive customer services stated they had no stock and I was advised to purchase a reader from a local company and sent a copy of the invoice for them to process a refund. Four days later a reader was received from SumUp, advise I must return the duplicate reader before they will refund my money which could take unto ...

avoid.

Was very happy with SumUp until the recent updates. Any transaction description now shows up as ‘custom amount’ even when a description has been entered. Unable to keep track of any transactions as I don’t know who they belong to, can’t run my business effectively because of this. Spoke to live chat numerous times and no one has been able to help me. Contacted support through email with screenshots and details of the problem and they didn’t even understand what I was saying. I was told it ...

Back again… I have £14,000 that has been on hold for around 3 months now and I was told it would be released after 60 days it has now been about 3 months and I am now being told again to wait till the 11th of June. The customer service is pretty poor every time I call SumUp I get the same exact person telling me the same thing that they will escalate it to the team and get the same replies back giving me dates for my money to be released and then when it comes down to the day I get given ...
