Stole my money
I received an email saying I had a suspicious transaction and asking me to send documentation to prove it was legal. I sent everything I was asked for, proving not just that it was legal, but that it was public money received from a recognised EU institution. The only reply I received from SumUP was to say my account was closed. I had to email multiple times to get a reply, and still no news of the money I received. Closing a bank account without warning is actually illegal, especially as ...

If you want customer service look elsewhere
If you are a small business relying on card payments ,save your time and money (and possibly your business)and choose a company you can speak to on the phone. Sum up are yet another poor company who regard provision of customer service as an annoying extra. We have 2 business accounts running 3 terminals none of which are working . Spent ages waiting to a chat bot only to be told someone will e-mail us. No telephone numbers to call .They are happy to talk when they want your business but ...
