Easy log aggregation and dashboarding

What do you like best? SumoLogic makes setting up log aggregation easy and quick, with plenty of integration points and configurable agents. Reviewing logs from disparate and distributed systems using their query language is relatively simple, but can get complex fast. In a world of micro-services it is critical to be able to query logs from all running apps and their dependencies in order to monitor system health and debug issues. Whether it is through rSyslog or installed agents Sumo ...

Log management for mere mortals

What do you like best? Very easy to get off the ground and get data into the system. Initial spin to data ingesting in just minutes. What do you dislike? Sometime the more advanced options are difficult to understand however the documentation is always evolving to fill in the gaps. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Centralized log management and searching. All of my logs are now all in one place, no more going from box to box trying ...

When it comes to Sumo, the 80/20 rule applies

What do you like best? Sumo Logic is an IAAS search service - that's it's best feature. Anyone who has had to administrate an on-premise log analytics platform knows what a god send having a hosted solution is. What do you dislike? The Sumo Logic query language is sometimes difficult to use when trying to do more sophisticated searches. Multi-tenancy may lead to long search times when many other customers are using the system. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

Sumo Logic Makes Work A Breeze

What do you like best? Sumo is incredibly fast and responsive to even the biggest of search parameters. I'm typically multi-tasking and it keeps up with every request I send its way. What do you dislike? I would love to have more control over the pre-chosen time spans. Adding a custom time frame would make my work flow even smoother. Recommendations to others considering the product: Get set up with Sumo Logic today. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Sumo logic tracing

What do you like best? Sumo logic makes it easy to monitor logging across multiple nodes. The querying language is very useful for searching amongst said logs. In addition, there is an api that allows remote queries to return responses to a requesting script or query interface. What do you dislike? Cannot save the results of a search somewhere (even temporarily) to the site. It must be downloaded as a file. Recommendations to others considering the product: You should use ...
