Easy to use and fast learning curve

What do you like best? Spotinst is very easy to use and has very fast learning curve. Tools provided to set up clusters and groups are simple and guides provided are clear. What do you dislike? Main dashboard needs some improvements. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Cost optimization of existing infrastructure. Significantly reduced costs of running our cloud infrastructure.

Reducing costs - the easy way

What do you like best? The easy way of setting up Spotinst on existing clusters. What do you dislike? The somehow complicated way to set up single sign-on with Azure AD. We had to reset these settings several times with the support until we had a final working configuration. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Reducing the infrastructure costs of our production and non-production ECS clusters.

It provides satisfactory service for our affordable and optimised infra.

Spotinst lower my cost and manage my autoscaling

What do you like best? We have been using GKE non preemptible nodes with autoscaling for a while now. What we learned from that is that there are many reasons why nodes will not downscale when we want them to. Good thing with spotinst is that since we can finally use preemptible nodes reliably, the nodes are being rebalanced every day -> lowering our cost with preemptible nodes + scaling! What do you like best? Spotinst has a rich set of features which help us solve problems out of the box, instead of us creating the components by hand! The console also provides easy-to-read dashboards which could give us insights for our business. Great Application And Even Better Support

What do you like best? I like the additional set of features that Spotinst provides to build upon the functionality afforded by Spot Fleets. I like the ability to select a range of instance types and the simplicity of configurations for retaining EBS volumes and private ips from instance retirement to instance replacement. What do you like best? One of the biggest upsides of Spotinst is cost savings. We have saved thousands of dollars over the past year not just in compute resources, but also human resources. One of the things we dislike is the time it takes for Spotinst to recognize that a service was scaled up and it can take some time (if at all) for Spotinst to realize this and create a new instance in order to meet the new requirements for the service.
