Cloud Operations @ its best
What do you like best? I have been a customer of SpotInst since 2016 and they have exceeded my expectations throughout the time using the product. From simplifying our challenges of leveraging the spot market in AWS, to helping us manage Kubernetes clustsers while attempting to scale horizontally and vertically, to leading us in the right direction with respect to Reservations and Savings plans, and to their latest work around cost analysis and areas of opportunity to reduce costs, it has ...

Best saas for auto-scale ever
What do you like best? 1. Spotinst charges only for reduced costs which means there is no sunk cost to use the it. This was the best part of Spotinst when we decide to adopt the ocean. 2. Spotinst provide an efficient auto-scale strategy. What do you dislike? 1. Not easy to recognize current state of cluster at a glance and hope to see more logs in detail 2. Hope to get a little bit cheaper than now. Recommendations to others considering the product: Before we adopt the ...

Start saving money
What do you like best? Nice GUI, the amount of possible automation, API (and its documentation). Support is excellent! Always very helpful and skilled people solving you problems. What do you dislike? Some dependencies are not tested enough (t3a instances in K8s-cluster). Sometimes errors occur which have to be solved in SpotInst's backend by a support engineer. This is actually one reason keeping us from using SpotInst for our PROD-environments. Recommendations to others ...

Save money and time!
What do you like best? Spotinst has saved us thousands while making our DevOps easier to maintain and grow. What do you dislike? Pretty sweet as is. Could have a mobile view. Get the job done
What do you like best? Simple to use. Very friendly and effective support team in case needed. What do you dislike? Encountered bugs here and there, but it was a very early version of the product. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Perform autoscalling on top of Hashicorp Nomad spot and regular EC2 instances.

SpotInst is the easiest way to cut reduce your EC2 spend by 50-80%
What do you like best? Ability to fail-over to on-demand instances when spot availability decreases to 0 Spot market availability visualizations Ocean What do you dislike? The need to use 2 different console. And the fact that when one ESG produces alerts, it emails a single account email instead of a configurable list/ESG. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? SpotInst needs it own billing alarms. Also the ability to specify ...

Reserved Instances? Why bother?
What do you like best? Terraform support, fast and knowledgeable response times to issues, great uptime, and great pricing. What do you dislike? The documentation could be organized better, and better use-cases and illustrations of differences between products would be great. Why choose Elastigroups vs Ocean for example What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We manage our ECS cluster w/spotinst, scaling up and down using spot instances ...

Cost savings with less effort than self-managed spot fleet
What do you like best? I find the console very easy and intuitive to use, displays very helpful information about each elastigroup, and it's very affirming to see the cost saving in big characters! Seeing the overall CPU/memory allocation within the Spotinst console itself is very handy when quickly deciding if scaling is necessary. There are so many exciting features like machine learned purchase strategies and fully managed k8s/ECS via Ocean which unfortunately we haven't had time to ...

Money saver and self managed!
What do you like best? The best thing being the fact that it saves us a lot of money at my current firm by managing our Spot Instances and takes away the headache of setting it up in AWS Console. The dashboard is quite simple and easy to use. What do you dislike? The initial configuration and setting up a Elastigroup can be quite a cumbersome process of going through multiple steps. There is a lack of clarity as as to what all the different features do in there. For eg, we only ...
