The platform charges per GB of data ingested daily, with costs scaling quickly for high-volume environments—a 500 GB/day deployment can exceed $100,000 annually. Before shortlisting, verify your actual data volume and request a cost estimate based on your specific ...Read more
Splunk Enterprise pros and cons
Customizable dashboards with analytics across multiple data sources.
Log customization, dynamic dashboards, alert configuration, and scheduled reports.
Interface is navigable, free foundation training is available, and additional services integrate without major effort.
Simplifies log analysis, visualization, and filtering for monitoring workflows.
Configuration is complex and performance degrades if not set up correctly; beginners face a significant learning curve.
Marketplace selection is limited, pricing rises steeply at high data volumes, and the tool requires substantial resources for smaller organizations.

The most versatile data mining product I know of
What do you like best? Splunk takes in any data in almost any form (as long as it is human readable text) and allows searching, manipulation, transformation, calculation, etc. and then presents it in a multitude of ways to make the data tell a helpful story. That is superior to products that make you set up each type of data in a set format. We have data that varies greatly even among similar software products. What do you dislike? Bugs, though to be honest, I haven't run across many, ...

Single Pane of Glass
What do you like best? Splunk gives us the single pane of glass view we have been wanting. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We needed end-to-end ...

Great tool if you need log aggregation
What do you like best? Splunk provides an easy way to search multiple log files over a period of time. You can search by any combination of unique text. The syntax is similar to that of SQL where you can use keywords such as AND and OR. Logs are archived for time capsule viewing. What do you dislike? It's rich with features which can be overwhelming. The search over a long period of time can sometimes be slow and fail to pull back result altogether. If you try to view a log's source, ...
