What is SonarQube?
SonarQube analyses code for bugs, vulnerabilities and quality issues across the development lifecycle, with AI CodeFix generating one-click fix suggestions and AI Code Assurance flagging machine-written code against quality gates tuned for it. It gives real-time IDE feedback, analyses pull requests and branches automatically, and covers more than 40 languages with SAST scanning, secrets detection, infrastructure-as-code analysis and software composition analysis. Quality gates are customisable as deployment standards. It integrates with GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket. A free tier exists, Team plans start around $32 a month on SonarQube Cloud, and Enterprise is custom-priced for self-managed deployment.
