Slack is great for collaboration
Slack is great for collaboration! I love this as an alternative to email, especially when you need to ask a colleague a quick question. Great tool for project teams.

Overall satisfied, but some minor glitches...
The application is easy-to-use with fun features however I have some problems with sime glitches it constantly have. Like not closing the application entirely, thus having problems when I try to log in again later (I only see a blank white screen.

Slack helps company communication in a very good way. Separate chatrooms for projects and departments are a great way to share information.

It's a good solution for communicating with your teammates
It's a good solution for communicating with your colleagues. But it can be a mess, too. I don't know what the right balance between communication and team management is, but Slack weighs in on the side of communication, so you're forced to find add-ons or other software on the side of communicating too much. Overall: it's good and useful, don't get me wrong.

Much better than Skype
Much better than Skype. We were using Skype previously for all of our team chats. Slack blows that away. AND MORE SECURE, TOO!

Great tool for communication
Great tool for communication although aimed more at office and work teams, I have found it very good simply for communication with a normal friend. it has much better quality than many other platforms if not all and the file sharing is great. It is definitely worth buying (although I use the free plan as it is still packed with plenty of useful features. The slack shop contributes to a good cause and things like their coasters are something I would love to have.

Never looked back
Our company is on Slack for almost 2 years. Now I can't imagine my life without it. Those dire Skype days are over for good.
