We have integrated it with our Zendesk instance, as well as alerts, and slackbots. I am an IT expert and people use Slack to contact me throughout the day. I use slack every day to collaborate with colleagues throughout the United States (our company has several locations in the US. It provides us with a seamless experience to share ideas, files and other forms of communication. While it does go down incredibly rarely, it is usually solved within the hour. Also the extended features like polls and gif compatability make it an enjoyable tool. I've recommended it to friends in all other kinds of businesses.
